As the youngest part of a family firm it has fallen upon my shoulders to look get the company website sorted out, and this is a bit of a nightmare for me, because I am absolutely no expert when it comes to things like this! Fortunately for me I am good at delegating, and as soon as I was asked to do this by my father I knew that delegation would be what would get the thing fixed!

I have to say here of course that the site wasn’t broken, it just wasn’t helping the business ion the way that it should. The site was very bland and there was nothing to it really, and it was also very difficult to find out if anyone was actually using it!

The first thing I did was speak to a friend who built sites. He told me straight out that it needed a total redesign, but he would do it for me for a very reasonable few. I took an executive decision to let him do this, and within two weeks he had the whole thing totally rebuilt and looking great! I thought that that would be it, but he told me that the most important thing of all was to have the site optimised. I didn’t even know what that meant at the time but he gave me the number for an excellent seo firm who would be able to do the work. Again, I was delighted with how quickly they got started, and we started to see results within only a few weeks! It was six months though before the results went through the roof, and I have to say that ever since that happened I have been the toast of my family!
