When you first begin looking for a way to make money online, you are bombarded with myriads of ways you can get rich quick. If you look up the phrase ‘internet marketing’ or ‘make money online’ on a search engine, you probably see just as many pie in the sky, illegitimate, business opportunities as you do legitimate opportunities. And the sad thing is, the illegitimate opportunities often look much more attractive because they promise ridiculous amounts of money to you, if you will just buy this, or invest that. Keep this in mind, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Online, long term success is created by creating a solid business, just like in the offline world. You simply have to be selling something that has value, in a system that is duplicatable, meaning that chance is not the primary element of your success, in order to make big money long term online.

Although it may be tempting at first to go with the fly by night, get rich quick opportunities, you will simply get burned. Use this manual to choose a legitimate way of making money online, and then do the work necessary to make it happen.

As you read through the information you find online, you are going to see many different types of products to sell, you are going to see many different types of methods of creating, buying, or borrowing products to sell, and you are going to see many different methods of selling them. You are going to see many different methods of generating traffic, many different methods of converting that traffic to financial gain, and many different ways to leverage your initial traffic and income into long term income streams.

You cannot apply all of the techniques online and become good at all of them. You will naturally have to specialize some. You will have to make some choices.

My advice to you is to choose to do things, choose products or choose methods, that require the least amount of learning curve for you, especially if you are just getting started.

For example, if you are a good writer, then you might consider the writing-oriented options, like creating your own ebook, or writing articles for traffic. But if you do not have writing as a skill, although you can certainly learn to write well over time, you might be better off with a paid advertising method, and using someone else’s product to start with.

I admit it…I’m a college geek. Well, at least I was about 30 years ago. And while I didn’t learn much in college that I use today as an Internet marketer, I did learn one thing in economics class that has helped me immensely with product creation and understanding market supply and demand. Now, if you think that doesn’t really matter when doing your marketing, think again. Supply and demand is the whole ball game when it comes to whether or not your product is going to sell and if so, for how much.

The basic law of supply and demand is simple. If the supply is high and the demand is low, then prices come down. If the supply is low and the demand is high, then the prices go up. Those of you who have had economics 101 know this. But exactly how does this apply to Internet marketing? I mean, if you’re selling info products, which aren’t a physical good, is there any real lack of supply? Well, there can be. How? Simple. Just tell your prospects that only a certain number will be sold and watch them head for the buy button if they think it’s something that will really help them.

You see it all the time with slick sales pages. Only 100 copies being sold, or this offer is only good for the next seven days. These are common tactics. Of course, if you want to have any kind of credibility, you better back up what you say. But that’s another message for another day. The point is, economic principals most definitely come into play when promoting anything online. So the more you understand about economics, the better your chances for success.

But economics is just the start. I also took marketing in college. Knowing the best ways to construct an ad campaign will greatly increase your sales conversion. I had a great marketing professor. This guy could sell anything to anybody. Heck, he sold me on taking the course in the first place when I went to talk to him prior to signing up.

Okay, there is a point to all of the above and here it is. By getting a solid education in marketing and economics, as well as writing and a number of other things, you will give yourself the best chance for having success with your Internet marketing career. A masters degree, which is what I like to call it, is the ticket to success, because unlike many college educations…knowing what you’re doing when it comes to your business is priceless.

Internet marketing online is the process of promoting a business online and is a critical part of any marketing plan. Internet marketing online is what better qualifies us for what we do and are actually trying to accomplish. I’m still a little even today by the amount of people who believe they can put up a site and figure that since its up prospects and buyer will magically appear. Internet marketing online is the force that drives the entire ecommerce arena. Marketing online is the practice of using all facets of Internet advertising to generate a response from your audience.

Marketing online is absolutely the wave of the future whether your business is online or off. Many merchants are turning to interactive online marketing to promote their businesses and build awareness about the products that they offer. Before launching a web store or web page offering services, businesses will want to carefully investigate the various interactive techniques being utilized throughout the World Wide Web. An enormous portion of all of this is accomplished through direct contact email. Content rich marketing will be crucial to keeping a viewer on site for more than a few seconds. Of course, Internet marketing must be handled carefully. As a webmaster, if you can have the best and most aggressive tool to drive immediate traffic to your site, wouldn’t you take hold of it. Internet marketing is our main focus as a website without traffic is a car without gas.

Aggressive internet marketing online has been formulated in different ways by many webmasters just to be able to drive as many visitors to their respective websites. is on a never before high as it makes its way through the web. The climate of business online is very outcome oriented. Although internet marketing is very challenging, it pays to have an internet marketing tool that works. While some people think that is extremely difficult, when you know what you are doing and you have done the right research, it can be quite easy and profitable as well.

One of the most important things about being an Internet marketer is knowing what your strengths and weaknesses are. Believe it or not, we all can’t be experts in everything. I certainly am not. So we need to recognize where we may be lacking a bit and do our best to either minimize those weaknesses or find other ways to take advantage of them, while at the same time focusing on our strengths. In this article, I am going to try to explain what I mean.

I’ve been marketing online for over five years now. Still, I am not an expert at everything. There are many areas of Internet marketing that I am not so great at. One of them is graphic design. It certainly doesn’t help when you are color blind. Well, in order to minimize this weakness, because I do have an ability to use software, I make my graphics as simple as possible. My ecovers are not flashy but they are functional and do look good enough to present a professional appearance.

Now, if you’re absolutely horrible at something and even by keeping it simple you can’t get it done right, then your other option is to outsource. Let’s say that I couldn’t even use the software to make a decent ecover. Well, there are plenty of people out there who can. Say you can’t afford the service. Well, there is always bartering. That’s right. Offer something of yours, either a skill or a product, that the other person can use. Many times other marketers will offer their services for something that they themselves need.

For example, let’s say I couldn’t make graphics at all. I am a pretty decent writer if I have to say so myself. Well, many graphic designers don’t have very good writing skills. Maybe they’re first starting out and need a sales page. You could offer to write them one for a graphics package. Certainly something can be worked out that will be in both of your best interests.

In the meantime, while you’re having others do the things that you’re not very good at, you can be spending the time doing the things that you are good at. This is a much better use of your time and in the long run will make you more productive with your business.

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is key to running a successful business.

Internet marketing would definitely be a great idea if you want to be your own boss with no one else to command you or put you to task. This is where internet marketing has the upper hand. You don’t really have to pool in a lot of money to start the business.

Understanding traditional marketing will help a site owner better understand internet marketing, but is not the only information they need. In order to get the word out through the internet businesses must incorporate several marketing techniques. Each and every technique is a good way to get the word to customers, however using them together can increase traffic immensely. Developing a strategy for internet marketing is the best way to create a good cyber business.

If you’re interested in internet marketing, affiliate marketing, information products, work at home opportunities, or other forms of online business, the sheer amount of information available can be truly daunting. It doesn’t help that much of that information is heavily laden with industry jargon and insider buzzwords.

Fortunately, getting started in internet marketing doesn’t have to be so complicated. This three-part article series lays out the three fundamental components of internet marketing and shows you how to bring them together in your own online business.

At its most basic level, an internet marketing business is no different from any other business. You really only need three things to be successful: a product, customers, and a way to market your products to your customers. Of course, these components are a little different on the internet than they are in your community.

This article, Part 1 of 3 in the series, focuses on the first component of your internet marketing business: The Product.

Just about any product and service you can imagine is bought and sold on the internet. The first key to a successful internet marketing business is figuring out exactly what you want to sell.

Producer or Affiliate?

The first question you have to answer is whether you want to create your own product or sell someone else’s. If you’re just getting started in internet marketing, IM-101 recommends that you learn the ropes by selling someone else’s product. This is called “affiliate marketing,” but this is just a fancy name for “selling someone else’s product online.”

Choosing the Right Kinds of Products

Once you’ve decided to become an affiliate, you have to determine the kinds of products you want to sell. On the internet, products can be placed into two categories: physical products and digital products. Again, IM-101 recommends that you get started by selling digital products, simply because it’s the fastest and easiest way to learn the business.

Digital products, or information products, are most commonly electronic books, or eBooks. These products are just like the books you buy at your local bookstore, except that they exist only as digital files you can open and read on your computer. By far the most common format for these files is called Portable Document Format (PDF), which can be read by a free downloadable program from Adobe called Acrobat Reader.

In addition to eBooks, you may also decide to sell software, audio files, videos, or any other kind of information that can be created, stored, and distributed in a digital format.

Where to Find Products

Okay, you’ve decided you start your internet marketing business by selling other people’s digital information products. Where do you find them? The single largest repository of these digital information products is ClickBank.

Go to ClickBank and browse through the Marketplace. You’ll find more than 10,000 digital information products to choose from. There are more than 100,000 affiliates registered with ClickBank who are actively selling these products. You’ll be joining their ranks.

The final step is to set up an affiliate account at ClickBank and select a few products to sell. Five products is a good number to start with.

Which products should you choose? You should choose to promote and sell those products that your customers most want to buy, of course. To answer this question, you have to figure out who your customer is.

internet marketing

Everyone seems to be jumping on the internet marketing bandwagon lately. In the race to get their business online, many successful businesses forget to ask themselves some tough questions about what they are doing, what their expectations are and what their plan is to meet those expectations.

The internet can be a powerful tool that can put you on solid footing with bigger companies. On the other hand, the other companies may have more money to pay for advertising. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you analyze your internet marketing strategy.

Advantage of Internet Marketing

- your store is open, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Further, your customers are worldwide in reach, and can shop anytime that they want to

- the cost of spreading your message is next to nothing. Emailing your subscription base is more oftne cheaper than sending a letter through the mail

- updating your subscribers can be done almost instantly through email. Visitors to your website can get up to the minute information on each visit. If you are having a sale, your customers can start shopping at the discounted prices literally as soon as they open their email

- if you have an information sensitive business, such as a law firm, newspaper or online magazine, you can deliver your products directly to your customers without having to use a courier

Disadvantages of Internet Marketing

- online marketing is not free. The cost of software, hardware, wed site design, maintenance of your site, online distribution costs and of course, time, all must be factored into the cost of providing your service or product.

- slightly over 50% of households shop online. While that number will continue to grow, you are reaching less than two out of three households.

- the internet is still regarded as a source of information gathering for the majority of your customers. Of the number of visitors to your site, the vast majority of visitors who are motivated to buy will do so in person. Many people prefer the live interaction when they buy. If you have a small business with one location, this may deter customers from buying.

- easier to have outdated information on your site, thus timing of updates is critical

- there is no replacement for good old fashioned customer service. The majority of internet marketers lack customer service and inquiry response programs. As a result, many online visitors to your site will already have painted your site as poor service before they have even contacted you. The majority of websites also have poor navigation, which makes it difficult for your visitor to find what they are looking for. Many sites were created with a marketing view, not a customer service point of view.

- is your site secure? Does your customer know this? There are many incorrect stereotypes about the security of the internet out there. As a result, many of your visitors will not want to use their credit card to make a purchase. The fear of having their credit card info stolen is a clear and present danger in the minds of your visitors

- there is a lot of competition for your product already out there. By the time your visitor finds you, they have already been clicking many links. Unless they can find what they are looking for quickly, they are gone.

- many web visitors expect something for free. What do you have to offer them?

There are many other pros and cons of internet marketing. Its important for you to consider each when creating your internet marketing strategy. Each of the disadvantages can be overcome, but only if you view the customer experience from the eyes of your customer, not as an internet marketer.

Internet Marketing Business Entrepreneurs can fail very easily.

I have been in the business of medicine for 30 years and internet marketing for one month. Now most people don’t think of medicine as a business, but it is and that reality is even truer today than it was 30 years ago. As a physician, you can’t just hang your shingle and the patients will come and internet marketing is no different.

Some patients will come but they won’t return if you don’t give good service and treat them well. Of course, you have to help them get better. It is all about solving their problems. As I get more into this internet marketing business, I can see that the rules are very much the same

There are tons of free offers out there which tell you how to get high traffic to your internet business website if you just pay someone $47 or $29 or whatever and let them do the work and you just sit back and collect the checks. It is becoming increasingly obvious that you have to build your internet business with hard work and that takes time. When I started my medical practice 30 years ago, I went to courses to learn how to run a practice. I let someone who has been there teach me what to do. I am going to take courses in the internet marketing business as well.

So some of the tips I am learning are the same I have learned all my life.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. On the internet, you have to work hard to succeed. Don’t waste time and keep your eye on the prize just like the turtle and the hare. Add your own original touch to your business, but let someone teach you the basics.
With that in mind, I continue to try to listen to people who have been there

Many marketing campaigns for products hook a potential customer in with a catchy advertisement. The hook may come in the form of a slogan or picture. While snappy text and pictorial design might make a customer take a second look, it does not always convert a customer lead into a sale. What Internet marketing tools can you utilize to convert more sales leads into actual customers?

The answer is multimedia marketing. What is multimedia marketing? Let’s define “multimedia”. Multimedia is media that involves an advertisement that “talks and moves”. For example, multimedia contains more than just text and/or pictures. Multimedia advertisements contain audio and video elements. By adding audio and video ingredients to your marketing campaign you will see your sales conversion rates soar.

What exactly are audio and video multimedia marketing elements? Audio elements include voice-overs, sound effects, and music. For example, when a potential customer visits your web page the first thing that catches their eye is the beautiful graphics and text information. At this point your customer needs to feel an emotional connection with your company, products, and services. This is where audio elements play a role.

You can provide music that sets the tone for your product or services. Perhaps you are in the party planning business and you have an advertisement about planning children’s birthday parties. You can play fun, upbeat music to mimic the atmosphere of a birthday party.

You could also add in a button that allows website visitors to listen to your actual voice. You can demonstrate your passion for your product and money back guarantee through your voice. Potential customers will feel that their experience has been more personable. This allows them to feel more comfortable with your company, services, and products. A wonderful side effect of this safe feeling is increased customer sales.

Video elements are another tool you can employ in your marketing campaign. You can create your own Internet commercial. You can demonstrate how to use your product through a video. You could even video testimonials from happy customers. A video will allow potential customers to attach a “face” to the product or services you are selling.

You are building a relationship with your customers when you make their Internet experience rich and satisfying. Plus, did you know that adding an audio element to your website can increase your response rate by 300%. Wow! That is a massive increase that you just can’t ignore.

Another great benefit to creating audio and video components for your website is that you can build CDs and DVDs from these files. You could create reports on specific topics and burn them to CDs and DVDs. Then you can sell these products to customers.

The Internet is ready to handle sophisticated audio and video files. Plus, Internet technology is improving every day. You can create these audio and video components in the comfort of your own home or office. It really is that simple. The effort you put into creating your own multimedia marketing campaign on the Internet is well worth it when your sales conversion rate skyrockets.
